Now That It's 2019… Is It Okay to Use Your Phone During Dinner?

I know using your phone during dinner USED to be a problem for a lot of people . . . but now it's 2019. We've all kind of accepted that phones are just extensions of our arms.

So does it still bother people when you whip out your phone at the table?

According to a new survey, 42% of people say YES. They say it's socially unacceptable to use your phone when you're having dinner with other people.

32% of people say it's okay to answer a phone call during dinner. Maybe that's because so few people make calls anymore that when you get one, there's a decent chance it's an emergency.

19% say it's fine to text during dinner . . . and 13% say it's okay to check social media. (The percentages add up to more than 100% because people could give multiple answers.)

Also, this isn't going to be much of a surprise, but generally the younger you are, the more you're cool with people using their phones during dinner . . . the older you are, the more you're against it.
