Throwback Thursday- This One Goes Back to 1987!

Here's a picture taken on January 27, 1987 on the day Bob Outer (middle) and David Scholes and I created a virtual radio parade on Main Street, Beacon, to honor that year's Super Bowl Champions, the New York Giants. We had speeches by the players and Coach Bill Parcells, (all recorded ahead of time), marching bands and even floats. The whole thing took about an hour. People listening thought it was actually happening, many heading over to Main Street in Beacon to see it. Besides our scripts, everything we used was on tape or vinyl--no computers!--talk about choreography! It was real "theater of the mind." One national publication wrote, "Move over Orson Welles." What fun!
