The intrepid little vehicle pictured here is the 1974 Toyota Corolla SR5 which Charlotte bought new before we met. We continued to drive it through the early 80s--we brought our daughter Aubrey home from the hospital in it! We share tons of good stories and memories involving this car. We finally sold it to a friend, who drove it for a time, and before selling it to another friend, sent us the original gear shift knob as a keepsake, because he knew how much a part of our history the car was.
We don't know where the Toyota is today, but Charlotte and I are still happily together and this photo stands on my desk at home. . . because it IS one of my favorite pictures and of my favorite person.
