Almost 90% of parents in a new survey said having kids was the best thing they've ever done. But 70% also said they underestimated how much HARDER life would be. Here are the top ten things parents miss about not having kids . . .
1. Getting to be lazy on the weekend.
2. A clean and tidy house.
3. Total peace and quiet while you're watching TV.
4. Getting to leave the house whenever you want, without worrying about a babysitter.
5. Spending money without worrying about your budget so much.
6. Taking a shower or bath without being interrupted.
7. Date nights.
8. Going to the bathroom without being interrupted.
9. Being able to take a vacation any time of year, not just in the summer.
10. Getting a good night's sleep more often.
A few more from the top 50 include going out with friends more often . . . not being asked "WHY" all the time . . . watching R-rated movies . . . the freedom to swear whenever you want to . . . the luxury of doing nothing when you've partied a little too much . . . and being able to listen to YOUR favorite music in the car. Now THIS is how you take advantage of a discount. There's a restaurant called the Montana Club in Missoula, Montana. And they have a deal where if you eat there on your birthday, you get your age as a percent-off discount. So if you're turning 29, you'd get 29% off. And that discount has worked out GREAT for a woman named Helen Self. She just turned 109 . . . so when she went to the restaurant, she didn't just get her meal free, she also got 9% of the cost back in cash. She's actually been going there for her birthday every year since she turned 100. And the owner says that even though she found a heck of a loophole on the discount, he's happy to take care of her every year.(ABC 23 - Missoula)
The Texas Department of Public Safety released new video of a woman with a baby leading authorities on a chase that happened in June. The footage shows a woman driving at a high rate of speed before crashing into another vehicle at an intersection. She is then seen pulling a baby out of the back of her SUV and running from police while holding the child and then jumping into the front seat of a passing vehicle. The driver of that vehicle quickly ran out and removed a child from the back seat before troopers are seen taking the female suspect into custody in the middle of the road. The woman was charged with evading arrest, possession of controlled substance and endangering a child. Officials in Bexar County say the woman had an open felony warrant before the incident. https://abc13.com/wild-chase-video-woman-with-baby-leads-troopers-on-high-speed-chase-/4122375/
