Frog Parking Only - All Others Will be Toad.

Here is the watch frog in our backyard puddle pond.  He's just a little guy.  This picture suggests he much bigger than he is.  We call him a watch frog because every time we look for him, there he is sitting quietly, no doubt positive we can't see him, waiting for something--a bug probably, but maybe just for us to go away and stop hanging around.  Maybe, of course, he's a she.  Anyway, we like to think he's the same frog that comes every year, but this is unlikely, and, actually, during a heavy rain he's likely to take off for greener pastures, or a greener pond.  We hear that is what frogs do.  Until then, it's so enjoyable seeing him there and we will miss him when he disappears.
