I stopped by the Kimisis Greek Orthodox Church in Poughkeepsie Thursday afternoon for the exciting moment when the Dutchess County Regional Chamber of Commerce cut the ribbon officially beginning the annual Greek Festival--the local four day event people look forward to all year. The tantalizing aromas of traditional Greek delicacies and the contagious sound of Greek music and dancing will fill the air all weekend, and, if you've been before, or have never been, you will want to get yourself over there between now and Sunday at 6:00 p.m.
A portion of the proceeds raised will benefit the Children's Home of Poughkeepsie!

And, lucky us, Fr. Collins stopped in the studio to tempt us with freshly prepared baklava and tell us about the Festival. (We love our jobs.) (Thank you, Father.)
