I'm sharing a few photographs from our annual family vacation in New Hampshire. It's quite the haul, especially for the Pennsylvania contingent, but it is always SO worth the trip.
The first picture, above, taken from the porch, shows our afternoon horseshoe games, including the children playing with their plastic set. (Not ALL of those children came with us!)
Next is our Taco Tuesday dinner, with the new variation this year called the Walking Taco, which involved putting all the ingredients together in a bag of chips. Kaylee has a special shirt she wears on Taco Tuesdays. When she realized she wasn't wearing it, we had to all wait while she ran to get it and put it on. Such enthusiasm.
We were so pleased by the appearance of a new neighbor, this Bald Eagle, who, one morning, actually fished from one of the rocks in front of the house, one of the ones behind us in the horseshoe picture above. Our grandson, Jack, said, "What kind of bird is that?" The eagle grabbed a fish and flew low over the lake towards his/(her?) home. Unforgettable. And fortunately, it wasn't the only time we saw him and our son-in-law, Lee, took some fabulous pictures!
Vacations always pass by so quickly. Before you know it, it's time to eat everything in the refrigerator and check under all the furniture for toys and flip flops, then head for home, full of good memories and so much gratitude for our wonderful family.
