Because we're such healthy eaters around here, birthday cake, actually cake of any kind, is a rarity. So, altho I had to keep it in the freezer, I nursed the one leftover piece along for almost a week. It was a little dry by then, but it still tasted really good. The memory will last me until next year. Unless, of course, I'm forced to help celebrate someone else's birthday between now and then.
THANK YOU everyone who sent birthday greetings and treats. I had a great birthday, in no small way due to the goodness, thoughtfulness, and generosity of all of you.
