Kingston Film Foundation is excited to announce a free outdoor summer movie series in Midtown Kingston. The series features three repertory films: Gina Prince-Bythewood’s romantic sports drama Love & Basketball on June 1, Stanley Kubrick’s science fiction epic 2001: A Space Odyssey on July 20, and Terry Gilliam’s fantasy adventure Time Bandits on August 17. All screenings will be located in Midtown Linear Park, near the intersection with Cornell Street, behind Red Owl Collective. Additionally, the screenings will feature food available for purchase from local eateries, including Masa Midtown and Little Rye Bakehouse, as well as beer from local nanobrewery Kingston Standard. Each film starts at sunset, and is preceded by a short, original video introduction. Kingston Film Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that organizes film screenings in a variety of venues throughout the greater Kingston area, with a long-term goal of establishing an independent movie theater space.

Made possible with generous support from the City of Kingston, Midtown Business Alliance, and Red Owl Collective.
