I Am Beacon and Key Food Present the 9th Annual Back 2 School Block Party

Beacon, NY – I Am Beacon and Key Food are excited to announce the 9th Annual Back 2 School Block Party, taking place on August 24th from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM at South Avenue Park. This beloved community event is a celebration of the start of the school year, bringing together families, friends, and neighbors for a day of fun, entertainment, and support for local students.
Kick off the day early with an All-Star Basketball Showdown! Starting at 10:30 AM, Beacon Hoops All-Stars will take on Newburgh in what promises to be an exciting and competitive game. Whether you're a basketball fan or just looking to cheer on our local teams, this is an event you won't want to miss.
As the day continues, enjoy a variety of activities for all ages:
- Music by DJ King Cyrus: Groove to great tunes provided by the Community's own DJ King Cyrus.
- Face Painting: Let the kids express their creativity with fun face painting.
- T-Shirt Tie Dye: Get colorful and create your own unique tie-dye t-shirt.
- Food and Drinks: Enjoy delicious refreshments throughout the event.
This block party isn't just about having fun—it's also about giving back. We are raising funds and collecting supplies for our "Class-in-a-Bag" program, which provides essential school supplies to local students in need. We invite everyone to help us "Stuff the Bus" with donations of school supplies. Your generosity can make a real difference in the lives of our community's children.
