The Villa Borghese in Wappingers Falls was filled with happy chili samplers Sunday at the 8th annual Premier Cares Foundation Challenge Your Colon Chili Festival. Not only were there all kinds of wonderful chili available to sample, but also chocolate chip cookies, craft beer and wines--even ice cream and cupcakes!--all provided by local establishments.
All the funds raised support local charities to offer services for patients with gastrointestinal diseases, including colorectal cancer.
Everyone who attended had the chance to vote for their favorites in three categories. And the winners are:
For Best Chili the winner was Cosimo's (pictured above) and
Winner for the Best Chocolate Chip Cookie was Cardoso Cookies.
Heritage won the award for "Most Creative Chili."
CONGRATULATIONS to all the winners and runners-up, and to all the others who so generously participated. Terrific job all of you!
