Wednesday Michelle and I had the great pleasure of visiting Myers Corners Elementary School to present the Teacher of the Month Award to First Grade teacher, Ann Sceri. It was a festive occasion to be sure!
Besides Ms. Sceri's husband and son, in attendance were lots of faculty members and guests and the wonderful young sisters who nominated Ms. Sceri: Kierstin, pictured above next to Ms. Sceri, and Kayla next to her. (Ms. Sceri was Kierstin's Fourth Grade teacher last year and Kayla is in her First Grade class now.)
Along with the Teacher of the Month plaque, Ms. Sceri received other gifts, including a $100 gift certificate from Cosimo's in Poughkeepsie and a $100 check from TEG Federal Credit Union to do something special for the whole class. (And we brought along some nice gifts for Kierstin and Kayla too.)
