I always loved taking the show on the road . . .The difference between taking the show on the road now, and taking the show on the road back in the 80's, was that then you had to haul all the equipment along with you. There would be the control board, two turntables, a crate of 45 rpm records, and you didn't want to finally get where you were going, get all set up and think, "Where's the microphone?!?!" I still have nightmares to this day. Everything always worked out, sometimes involving duct tape and paperclips, but no one ever seemed to notice--it was the magic of radio.
By the way, I'll be taking the show on the road in a couple of weeks--keep listening for details.
