It’s not that unusual for police to respond to a call of a man with his pants down passed out on the side of a road …but it’s definitely unusual when the man in question is the Chief of Police.

Bordentown, New Jersey Police Chief Brian Pesce was found by officers lying on his side near the curb behind his Chevy Silverado with his jeans partly down.

The bodycam footage from the responding officers shows them asking if they can call his wife, and the chief responded with “What’s the problem?”

Officers say his vehicle caused property damage earlier in the night; he was charged with drunk driving, leaving the scene of an accident involving property damage, failing to report an accident, reckless driving, and careless driving.

He was told of the DWI charge in the ambulance, to which the chief threw his arms in the air and said, “I drove?”
