There's A 104-Year-Old Vet Who Wants Valentine’s Day Cards

Bill White, a 104-year-old Marine Corps veteran, keeps his proudest memories on a bookshelf at his Stockton, California home. One of the medals he’s most proud of is his Purple Heart, which he earned for surviving the Battle of Iwo Jima.

The vet is still active and one of his favorite hobbies is scrapbooking, which helps him organize a lifetime of memories. Now he wants to add to his collection with Valentine’s Day cards from people near and far. “I'll save every one of them like I've been saving little things that have come up until right now and they’ll be a personal part of my history,” White explains.
