Madonna Hit With Lawsuit For Starting Her Concerts Too Late

Eurovision Song Contest 2019 - Grand Final

Madonna is being sued by a fan for basically being late to her own concerts.

According to BuzzFeed News, the Queen of Pop has been drawing ire from followers nationwide for starting her shows later than expected, and now one fan is seeking legal recourse. Last week, a man named Nate Hollander filed a breach of contract lawsuit against the iconic singer after she pushed back the start time of her upcoming Miami Beach Fillmore concert on December 17 from 8:30 to 10:30 p.m.

The "Material Girl" star seemingly replied to accusations about her tardiness during a show over the weekend, telling the crowd, “A queen is never late.” However, Twitter users begged to differ. “No matter what your title is, learn to be on time! Be professional!” wrote one fan, as another chimed in: “A true queen shows respect for her people, keeps her commitments (including time commitments), and shows her manners.”

Per the suit, Hollander, who allegedly spent a total of $1,024.95 for three tickets to the show, claims that because Live Nation postponed the concert two hours later, he would no longer be able to attend. What’s more, Miami-Dade attendees who are 18 an under will also be impacted by the pushback given the county’s curfew prohibits teens from being out without an adult after 11 p.m. Hollander's move to sue apparently comes after his unsuccessful attempts at getting refunded from Live Nation for the tickets he bought, which is a concern as their resale value will now be lower due to the show's delay.

Madonna's lateness seems to be consistent, as fans who attended her November 7 performance also claimed her 8:30 set didn’t even commence until well after midnight.
