Pub Ditches Toilets, Asks Customers To Throw Down Sawdust Instead (???)

A bar in London has come up with a unique way to be more environmentally friendly. Frank’s Café has gotten rid of its flush toilets and swapped them out for sawdust. The facilities at the café are a seat over a hole, where customers are asked to throw sawdust down after using it to relieve themselves.

The eco-friendly toilets are provided by a company called ComPOOst Solutions that says no chemicals are used in their toilets, and the sawdust masks any odors. The company also says that it uses the “end product” of the toilets as fertilizer at their organic farm.
