State vaccination site in Middletown should open soon

MIDDLETOWN – The state-run vaccination site planned for the SUNY Orange campus in Middletown should be ready to put shots in people’s arms in a matter of days.
Orange County Executive Steven Neuhaus said that could be as soon as one week from now.
“We are hearing that the POD in Middletown at SUNY Orange, which is going to be run by the state, is supposed to be operational mid-to-late next week if everything goes as planned. So, it’s not definite, but it is looking likely,” he said.
Another new state point of distribution vaccination center will be opening shortly at the Ulster County Fairgrounds in New Paltz.
