NEW WINDSOR – The former president of the New Windsor Little League was arrested on Wednesday and charged with petit larceny for allegedly stealing from the organization.
New Windsor Police detectives arrested William Hinspeter, 48, of New Windsor following a four-month investigation. Hinspeter is a retired City of Newburgh Police K-9 handler.
It is alleged that he made a series of unauthorized debit card cash withdrawals for his personal use between October 1, 2018 and August 31, 2020.
He pled guilty in the presence of his lawyer and was sentenced to a conditional discharge and has paid $6,500 in restitution to the New Windsor Little League organization.
