Tis the season for dead car batteries. Just not usually in situations like THIS.
A 41-year-old guy named Raymond Stavig and a 27-year-old guy named Derek Shurts ran out of a Kohl's in Clackamas, Oregon last week with their arms full of stolen stuff. Then they hopped in their getaway car to speed off.
But . . . the battery was dead.
So they started asking people in the parking lot to give them a jump. And unfortunately for them, they couldn't get their battery going again before the cops arrived.
As the cops were pulling up, Raymond offered Derek $1,000 to take the fall for everything. When Derek turned him down, Raymond tried to tell the cops all of the stolen stuff in the car was taken by his wife.
Both guys were arrested on several charges.
