POUGHKEEPSIE – The Lake Walton Preserve master plan envisions a passive park for all abilities.
Dutchess County is seeking public input on the plan for the East Fishkill passive park, said County Executive Marc Molinaro.
“This particular park will be accessible to anyone of any ability, adjacent and connected to the Dutchess Rail Trail, and we are moving forward with phase one, which is development of a loop trail, universally accessible, and we are soliciting for public participation, and ultimately we will develop a Friends of the Preserve effort so that we can engage local community members, stakeholders,” he said.
The land for Lake Walton Preserve was acquired through a partnership with Scenic Hudson.
