Orange County’s COVID-19 red-zones test over 14 percent positive

ALBANY – Orange County’s COVID-19 red-zones including the greater Monroe-Palm Tree area and Newburgh, had a 14.38 percent positive rate reported to the state on Monday.

The statewide positive rate with the red zones was 1.40 percent; without the red zones it was 1.28 percent.

Local authorities have been instructed to enforce appropriate coronavirus protocols including social distancing, wearing of face masks, and washing hands often.

In the Mid-Hudson/Catskills region, the number of positive cases as of Monday were:
