NEWBURGH – There has been another shooting in Newburgh. City and State Police converged on the area at Recreation Park for a report of a person being shot.
A basketball tournament had been held there during the day and as night fell Sunday, police searched the area for any shell casings or other evidence.
A victim was reported to have been taken to Montefiore St. Luke’s Cornwall Hospital. The person’s condition was not immediately known.
As word of the incident spread across the community, crowds formed at the hospital with police keeping the peace there.
