We need a guy like this in the Hudson Valley… and sorry I’m not that guy!
Thousands of people in Oregon were waiting in long lines at credit unions across the state to apply for $500 emergency relief checks from an emergency funding program, but some lucky folks at one location scored big time.
Kathryn Davidson was one of them and she says she was in line at an OnPoint Credit Union in Hillsboro with hundreds of other people when a man in a luxury car pulled up.
She says at first, he seemed irritated by the crowd blocking the ATM, but when people explained they were waiting for emergency funds, he changed his tune.
Davidson explains that the man responded, “Really? You guys need help?” And when she told him yes, he whipped out a stack of cash, breaking the band off a stack of $100 bills and telling the crowd to distribute it down the line!
Davidson says the act of kindness restored her faith in humanity, adding that the man didn’t wait around for thanks or identify himself and he left as quickly as he’d arrived.
She’s not sure exactly how much he gave away, but estimates it could’ve been the whole $10-thousand he started with.
“All of us in line, we wanted to say thank you so much whoever you are, you’re a saint,” she says.
