POUGHKEEPSIE – State Police in Troop K issued 855 vehicle and traffic law violation tickets during the August 1 weekend.
Troop K includes Westchester, Putnam, Dutchess and Columbia Counties.
From 5 p.m., Friday, July 31 through 3 a.m., Monday, August 3, State Troopers in Troop K issued tickets for 466 speeding violations, 10 distracted driving violations, seven child restraint violations, 10 move over violations, and removed 25 impaired motorists from the roadway.
