Indoor Electric Karting and Entertainment Facility Ready To RACE, PLAY, MORE Again – SAFELY as it Begins to Get Business Back on Track with Phased Reopening Process
POUGHKEEPSIE, NY – RPM Raceway, America’s ultimate all-electric indoor karting and entertainment destination, today announced it will be reopening its Poughkeepsie, NY location on Friday, July 17. The entertainment venue will begin its multi-phase reopening by operating at 50% capacity, and offer electric karting to guests at its Poughkeepsie location. RPM Raceway’s arcade will reopen at a later date in accordance with social distancing regulations.
Specifically, RPM team members will wear masks at all times onsite, wear gloves when handling food or beverage and money and will receive temperature screenings at the beginning and end of each shift. Facility changes such as protective shields at registers, prevalent hand sanitizing stations, hygiene signage and social distancing floor markings will also be seen throughout the venue. Contactless registration is also now available through mobile devices.
In addition, RPM will conduct frequent cleaning and disinfecting of high-touch areas. A group of team members tasked as the “RPM Raceway Clean Team” will remain solely dedicated to continuously cleaning and sanitizing the facility. Prior to karting, each guest will receive a free full-face RPM mask. In addition to the measures taken, RPM Raceway also hopes guests will respect the measures being taken to keep everyone safe, including following social distancing protocols, washing their hands frequently, wearing masks and gloves when necessary and staying home if sick.
To celebrate its reopening and give back to those fighting COVID-19 on the frontlines, all essential healthcare workers may redeem one free race during the month of July with valid healthcare worker identification.
