The Town of Hyde Park is hosting a Food drive for the Hyde Park Food Pantry of Dutchess County on June 6th, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
They are looking for: non perishable-items, including canned vegetables and fruits, juice, cereal, rice, tuna fish, macaroni and cheese, pasta, instant potatoes and powdered or boxed milk. Items should be currently dated and in the original packaging. Other helpful items include small packages of paper goods, i.e., toilet paper, paper towels and tissues, as well as soap, shampoo, toothpaste and toothbrushes, and similar toiletries.
The day of the food drive please follow these directions: please enter the Town Hall parking lot via the Rt. 9 entrance only. You will be instructed to pull up to the receiving tables. Items need to be bagged or boxed and placed in the trunk or rear area of your vehicle for pickup to avoid person to person contact with volunteers.
