To be fair, this feeder does keep out the average squirrel, but this cute little sub-compact model is a a red squirrel I think. He's about halfway in size between a gray squirrel and a chipmunk. And he just doesn't budge. We can knock on the window and jump up and down but he doesn't even flinch--in fact, since he's always facing the window, we think he enjoys the entertainment while he eats. Then, when he's good and ready, not a second sooner, he leaves . . . probably to nap.
