According to the Guinness Book of World Records, the world’s largest snowflake fell on January 28, 1887 at Fort Keogh, Montana, measuring 15 inches!

Always wondered about the myth, for every inch of rain, it accumulate to a foot of snow?  Very close....10 inches of snow will melt to about 1 inch of water due to the air trapped inside of the ice particles.

In 1999, the world’s tallest snowman was created in Bethel, Maine, measuring 113’7” tall. Not to outdo themselves, the community also built the world’s tallest snowwoman in 2008, which measured 122’1” tall.
