Our daughter, Aubrey, sent this picture she took of the pom pom creatures she taught children to make yesterday as part of the Lackawanna County summertime Art in the Park Program. She said to use lots of glue and have a little patience waiting for it to dry. (She added that if you get a lot of glue on your hands, that's fine too, because it's fun to peel off when it's dry--win/win.) Some of the components are obvious and available at dollar stores or craft stores. The feet are cut from card stock. You can use your imagination to create others with things you already have around. By the time it was over, there were lots of happy kids and parents leaving with pom pom creatures, some that looked like these and some that looked . . . "different."
